
Dr. Simone Wright, PhD, LPC, ACS

Dr. Simone Wright, PhD, LPC, ACS (she/her), earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology in November 2021 and is currently completing the required hours toward psychologist licensure in the State of New Jersey. She is an alumna of Bloomfield College, Kean University, Bowie State University, Liberty University, and Walden University. Dr. Wright is also a master’s-level licensed professional counselor and an approved clinical supervisor, providing supervision to counseling interns and associate-level counselors.
Dr. Wright provides outpatient mental and behavioral health therapy and has more than 20 years of experience working with individuals, adolescents, couples, and families. Her experience includes working with concerns such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, conduct disorder, adjustment disorders, trauma, and mild PTSD. She also works with couples to strengthen communication, resolve challenges, and build greater stability in their relationships. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in family systems theory, with an emphasis on establishing and working toward realistic treatment goals. When appropriate, she incorporates positive psychology techniques and Christian principles into the therapeutic process.
With more than 25 years of experience working with adolescents in church, community, and legal settings, Dr. Wright has supported youth facing significant emotional, behavioral, and traumatic challenges. She also has more than 17 years of experience working with parents who are navigating the challenges of raising adolescents or children with emotional and behavioral concerns. In addition, she has five years of experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities and more than two years of experience working with juvenile sexual abuse perpetrators and individuals exhibiting sexually inappropriate behaviors. Throughout her career, Dr. Wright has worked with individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds and with a wide range of psychological and behavioral concerns.
During your first visit, you can expect to meet with someone who is ready to listen, understand your concerns, and help you establish realistic goals for treatment. Therapy is a collaborative process, and Dr. Wright works with each client as a team to address the challenges they are experiencing. Clients are encouraged to be active participants in their therapeutic journey, as they play an essential role in creating meaningful and lasting change.
