Catherine Steers (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling from Northwestern University. She takes an eclectic and individualized approach to therapy, tailoring each session to the unique needs and goals of her clients. Catherine believes in meeting clients where they are and creating a collaborative, non-judgmental environment where they can feel supported, understood, and empowered to grow.

Catherine is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), helping clients develop healthy coping skills, manage intense emotions, and build resilience during difficult times. She is also trained in Brainspotting and incorporates psychodynamic principles into her work, helping clients explore the underlying experiences and patterns that may influence their thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. By developing a deeper understanding of these patterns, clients can work toward meaningful and lasting change.

Catherine specializes in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. Whether you are navigating a significant life transition, processing past experiences, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges, Catherine offers a warm and compassionate space to help you move forward.

Her approach is flexible and client-centered, with a focus on helping each person develop greater self-understanding, find balance, and build the skills needed to support their overall well-being.
